Commentary

The Deerhead is one the few choices for dining on Cayuga Lake, although we had no idea you could dock there until we lived on the lake for several years and heard via word of mouth that there was a private dock you could call ahead to use.  Apparently its use depends on whether or not the cabin that sports the dock is rented or not - when there are renters, there's no place to dock.  You can dock temporarily at the Cayuga Lake State Park (beware the shallow waters in their docking area) and walk to the Deerhead which is a pleasant enough walk.

Recommendations for the Restaurant

bulletMore docking arrangements for boaters!  One private dock is not enough.
bulletWould be nicer if there was an outdoor space for patrons to sit.
