Kidders, NY (Kidders Landing)

Boater Rating:

Kidders, or Kidders Landing as I first knew it, is a small lakeside area adjacent to the Sheldrake area that is well known to Cayuga Lake residents.  For some time it has been the only place to get a meal mid-lake. There are two restaurants in Kidders, and their docks are currently the only place to dock in the area. But they are docks and the public can use them to eat a great meal at the Lighthouse (thus far) and walk the area, so we give the town a three anchor rating.

Docking

bulletThe Lighthouse Restaurant is now open and we expect the adjacent restaurant to open in the summer of 2003. They will be sharing their dock space, which is considerable.

Recommendations to the Town

bulletWe hope that the docking situation is attended to and strengthened, as it could be in better shape.
