Vessel Systems Checklist
This is a good starting point checklist as you prepare to depart.
Equipment Checklist
Make sure you have all the gear you need before you head out.
Float Plan
Always file a boat plan with a landlubber before you take an extended outing.
Departure Checklist
A good general purpose departure checklist to use before you get underway.

Captain's Note: I joined the US Power Squadron in early 2003 and I'm still going through their extensive boating courses.  I highly recommend their Basic Boating Education to the Public online course which is a good starting point for any new boater.
